[Dailydrool] bathing and bugs

I've enjoyed reading all the bath stories, thanks for the laughs. My two seem to enjoy their baths. One hops in the other I pick up. They let me dry them with towels and then they do the basset 500 and beat each other up. If I bathe on a nice warm day, I'll walk them so they dry. In the winter, I put them in their room with a heater and they dry in the warm room or I will take the dryer to them. Its a big job, but I enjoy doing it.
The NJ summer has been bad so far...I'm ready for fall and so are my hounds. In this heat they sleep more especially if I take them for a walk at night after work. The bugs are very, very bad. I've been using skin so soft mixed with witch hazel and vinegar. They smell interesting afterwards, but I think the Skin so soft works a little. The vinegar cleans them up a bit too. I'm going to try the listerene because I too have to fight with the bugs. I'm hating the summer so far. The bassets and I enjoy the fall and winter more, no bugs, no heat and if you dress well its okay for the slaves too.
