[Dailydrool] Alternatives to Rymadyl for Hip Dysplasia

I'm not a vet and don't even play one on TV but I will share with you my experience with alternatives to Rymadyl in this instance. I am what I consider an open minded skeptic. I don't believe something just because some people tell me but I am open to trying most anything if it isn't harmful.

We adopted out a puppy that turned out to have hip dysplasia (Hi Lenny) and the doctors said there was no surgical correction now. I found a small study that some of the lab people had done using a special form of vitamin C to treat the problem. The study indicated that a large number of labs were able to go back to work successfully.

I tried it on myself initially to see if it would help with some pain I had in my spine and within 3 days I was almost pain free. I went on and off of it several times to see if it was "all in my mind" and although not scientific, I was convinced. It has also helped with the pain of fibromyalgia that I developed.

I added Ester-C (bought at Costco in 500mg tabs) to the supplement regiment that I give the seniors/ones with mobility issues. I could see movement with more freedom in all instances.

I just got a one year old boy (Hi Tommy) with severe hip dysplasia. I put him on the following supplements: 1000mg Ester-C, 1200mg Fish Oil and a Triple Flex (Glucosamine, Chondroitin and MSM) twice a day. I noticed less limping starting 3 days after giving starting him on this regiment and after a week, the only time I notice him limping is just a bit right after he gets up from lying down for a while. He runs and jumps and plays with the best of them.

Sometimes there are treatments that work that there are no good scientific studies to support them but I can say what works for us. All supplements are bought at Costco, all human.

Hope you find this helpful,
