[Dailydrool] Mary McCaslin's visit

Bill here, press agent/personal trainer to Miss Angela Basset,
Droop and Drool Diva of Wichita and Sedgwick County

Miss Angela was priviliged to provide a much needed basset
fix to folksinger/basset lover/former Drooler Mary McCaslin on
Saturday.  Mary was playing at the Iron Horse Concert Hall in
El Dorado KS (where yours truly works the ticket sales and
refreshment area) and staying with proprietor Don Koke.  She
was overjoyed when I drove up in front of Don's house and 
let Angela out of the car.  For about an hour, there was a great
festival of belly rubs, snooter kisses, ear skritches and general
mauling of my smooshy diva.  Mary is currently bassetless
since she and DH  Greg do not have a fenced yard  in thier
Santa Cruz CA home and thus believe they are unable to 
rescue.  In the past, she was droolfueler to Hannah and Otis
as well as an intermittent Drooler.  Her CD titled Better Late
Than Never even features a picture of her with the lovely
Hannah.  Mary gave Angela a copy of that CD  and even wrote
a lovely inscription on it.  Angela was duly unimpressed. All
that attention wore Angela out and she seems determined
to sleep the day away, which may not be a bad idea since
the ground is hidden by a couple of inches of snow and our
beloved Kansas University Jayhawks went down in flames
in the second round of the NCAA basketball tournament.

Mary's concert was very good and she will be heading next
to the Rock Springs WY for Tuesday and Wednesday 
concerts and on to Cedar something in Utah for the week
end.  Miss Angela urges anyone in those areas to get out
and listen to some wonderfully crafted songs done by a
veteran of many years on the folk circuit.
