Annette had asked about bassets fetching. Colt & Ruger will fetch...when the
mood strikes them. We have a squeeky tennis ball that they will fetch, but
only in the house. They won't fetch outside for some reason, I imagine its
because of the basset ADD that you spoke of. I squeek the ball to get them
excited, then they will fetch until they get tired. They will also play
fetch with a few of their stuffed toys but only when they want to...they
have to bring you the toy and in their own way tell you to throw it.

Their Favorite game is Plytapus...Which is a stuffed plytapus tied onto a
fishing pole that we drag around the yard and they chase after it. Kind of
like a modified lure chase. Ruger is obsessed with this game. And almost
everynight around 6-6:30 he will sit and bark at you, run to the closet
where it is kept and run back to bark at you. He will do this until you get
up to go get it and go outside to play.

I am so sorry to hear about Cakie & Pelusa, I cried when I read about their
journey to the bridge. Heart felt sorrow to their human parents/slaves.
The magic of them will forever live in our memories.
My heart goes out to all of those that have lost hounds. There are not to
many things that are worse to deal with...other than the lose of a human
child, parent or spouse.

Healing drool to all of the ill hounds, the boys and I hope that you all are
feeling better soon and back to bossing your humans around.

Much love to all!

Drool Friends to the end and beyond,
Michele, Colt & Ruger
