[Dailydrool] Sprain/strain in front leg?

Did you probe his paw?

Gently run your fingers down through each toe, and along the underside
between the pad and toes .. see if you feel a lump or he gets sensitive..

A way to imagine doing this.. pretend your hand is that of Aquaman ... as
you spread your fingers, there's webbing between the fingers ... take the
index finger and thumb of your other hand, put the index finger on top of
your "webbed" hand between two knuckle joints, and lightly press your thumb
from the underside... now slowly pull your fingers down the webbing to feel
your hand go from thick to thin... any lumpies?

if you do feel a lump see if you can get a good look at it .. like a big
welt or zit with maybe a small hole.. if so.. its possible he was stung!

I've had this happen with my hounds a few times over the past few years..
this last time... I had no idea as my one boy was just being a little
sensitive, not really limping or minding it much (till I touched it) and
then he became the big howlin' baby...

through a little applied pressure, some yelps, and a bunch of
icky-thick-puss like stuff comes out and suddenly he stops yelping, and is
happier.. so I knew he was a little down from the achy paw but not so much
to really clue me in.. only found it this time because of the probin'...
other times I usually see the boys licking the spot to ease the ach.
