Karen, Sara, and Robert,
Thanks so much for your suggestions. Tank seems to be back to his normal self tonight. I did feel both legs and nothing out of the ordinary, no bumps, lumps, or abnormal warmth. I really think he just pulled a muscle when he got upset with the fuzzy dogs barking at him. He slept most of the day and he walked fine tonight, with no lunging so maybe he learned his lesson! I do give him glucosamine/chondroitin/MSM and Ester C and fish oil. I will look into the Boswella too. I think the baby aspirin helped as well, but I only give that on an as needed basis. He's almost 7, so he is in the senior category for Bloodhounds, even if he thinks he's still a pup. ha  He gets worn out faster now than he used to.

For all of those with lumpy bassets, bloodhounds are the same. Tank is very lumpy and has a few skin tags here and there. My vet says leave them alone, unless they break open. Then drain and apply neosporin for the smaller lumps. Or if they increase in size quickly, then go to the vet. Otherwise, we leave them alone, and they don't seem to bother him.

Sweet Polly Basset went to the park with the pack this evening. She likes to walk a little bit, but then gets tired and lies down in the grass. At that point, I have to drive the car to where she is and pick her up. My fiance said it's like "Driving Miss Polly".  :)   She has to be able to see one of her slaves at all times. If she can't, she will start to bark and cry. I think that is from being abandoned on the street last year. We always make sure she can see at least one of us so she doesn't panic. Rescued seniors are precious souls.

Drool to all in need....we have plenty with a basset AND a bloodhound! Even my coonhound makes a little bit, usually during a cookout on the grill. :)
