[Dailydrool] Riley Update

Just wanted to update everyone on Riley, the emaciated Basset  
recently taken in by Looziana Basset Rescue.
Repeated bloodwork, xrays, ultrasounds, and barium studies have been  
done this week in order to determine what is wrong with him.
Exploratory surgery was his only hope. After two hours of surgery  
yesterday, our veterinarians removed a two inch corn cob from Riley's  
small intestine.
As you recall, his former owners allowed him to suffer for a month,  
before dumping him for euthanasia at a shelter.  He's still in  
critical condition in the ICU
following his surgery.
A huge Thank You to all who've sent prayers, drool and donations for  
Riley.  He and everyone at LBR are so grateful.
