Hi all Its me PW Gus
I had a big problem this morning. I woke up had to do my business so I headed to
the dog door. The front half went out and my back half didn't follow. One leg
went one way the other went the other way. I pulled nothing happened, I had
fallen, the back half, and I couldn't get up. So I barked and barked and barked
for a kazillion hours till i felt mom lift my back end and help me through the
door. I was so tired and those silly back legs fell a sleep they did even try to
get mom's attention. They took a long time to wake them up mom made me keep
walking while she rubbed my hips. After my whole body was working again mom made
me my favorite breakfast Kibble with Vienna Sausages. YUM!!!! Mom say I need a
"lifealert" button so I could press is and get help faster. I thought my bark
was the help button. What ever if it would make her feel better I guess I will
let her do it for me I am old and should be catered to.

Mom slave here.
It was not what I wanted to see when I walked into the living room is to see my
16yr Basset stuck in the dog door like a T pin. It was scary for about 5min
because after I got him unstuck his back legs stayed splayed out. He had
relieved himself I'm going to assume after he fell so I had to clean him up. I
gently lifted him to discovered he could stand and after a few minutes of
massage he started to walk. I truly don't know how long he was like that, me and
the other two sleep up stairs and Gus has him bed in the dining room. I had gone
to bed about 11 and was up about 7 to bring Wally and Tallulah down to go potty
and that's when I found him. He was barking but you can't hear him so well
unless you are close because he is debarked. He bark was strong and I know his
sleeping patterns so he probably was not there to long. I feel horrible so I'm
going to set my alarm every couple hours to go down and check on him. I might
not even need an alarm I'm up to pee more then my bassets anyway HAHAHA. Gus
seems to be just fine my nerves are not.
Healing drool to all
lots of love
