First Walk:
1 Dadslave drops Morse and I at the field, and drives home.Morse and I go in
the field. After a few steps I turn round to find Morse leaving the field and
walking back up the path.
2 Get to the main road and as there is no pavement wait for the traffic to
pass.Traffic free I start to run and am pulled back to find Morse is flat. Pull
hard!
3 Morse decides on visit to cemetery.New grass has just been laid so I pull
him off there as see object of desire is fresh cat turd.He pulls flat basset
again. When he realises I am not budging on this one he decides to walk on the
other side of the hand rail. I bend down under it and almost fall flat on my
face in the mud, the rail is so low.Now on the other side with Morse, he stares
at me blandly. Doesnt want to go forward,backward,sideways....we go back under
hand rail....and out of the cemetery and home.
Second Walk:
taken to beach and he wanted to come back in the car after 2 mins but it WAS
pouring with rain...
Third Walk:
1 Sits on sofa and grizzles. Turn TV off, get coat and hat, put wellies on.
Get lead, put it on Morse. He gets to the front door and comes to a halt,
refuses to go despite persuasion.
2 Go back inside, take coat, boots and hat off, put Morse back on sofa. Turn
TV on. Morse starts rolling on his back and then jumps off sofa, wagging his
tail at me. Repeat performance of hat, coat, wellies.
3 Go up the road, it is dark and he makes a dive at the grass which I
presume is cat turd. Pull him away and he slips his lead and collar. Grab his
neck and he does a huge YELP which sounds like he is being beaten to death - a
ploy he uses to get me to release him! Lead back on. Won't go any further so
frogmarched home.
*sigh*
If anyone has any advice regarding er, how can I put it, bassety behavioural
issues re walking, can you email me please?
