[Dailydrool] Question on Masticatory muscle myositis

Has anyone ever had to deal with  Masticatory muscle myositis? My 3 1/2 year old male was just possibly diagnosed with it. A biopsy would be needed for a clear diagnosis but I wanted to get more info before we did that, high dose of steroids for 4-6 months is the only "treatment". Any insight to this would be greatly appreciated.
