[Dailydrool] Lots of drool!

Our 7 month old male basset has begun to drool quite considerably
overnight.  The tips of his ears have remained fairly wet and his mouth is
dripping.  He is chewing quite a bit.  Could he be drooling like this
because he is teething?  Is he too old for this kind of teething?  He
recently had an ear infection but he seems to be over it.  Am I just an
overworried new Mom?  :-)   Thanks, Laura and Major.
