You can avoid the bucking by teaching them to like the no-pull harness ahead of using it. 

Pair the harness with treats so that they stick the nose through it voluntarily, and then a lot of off and on for treats.

They will get where they see it and WANT to wear it!

But like all no-pull devices, they can quit working over time, or build up big resentments, if you are not at the same time training the dog not to pull you in general.
