[Dailydrool] Is bad breath and licking linked?

I apologise - I know this is the fourth question I have posted in a day....
is there any link with bad breath and licking? Morse's breath has got really bad 
over the last couple of days. Had a quick look in his mouth and cant see 
anything ominous.
