[Dailydrool] bloating

I have had 2 bloodhounds bloat. I was very lucky they both made it. Creedence bloated and we tacked his stomach. He had no problems at all after the surgery. We tacked it why doing the bloat surgery but i know people who do the tack surgery before the dog even bloats so they do not have to worry about it happening. I never had a bloat problem after the tacking. I do soak all food and do not feed more then 2 1/2 cups at a time. Ellie bloated but we tubed her and got all the air out and did not have to do surgery. I was lucky with her. I do know of people who give Pepcid or Gas X every day. It can't hurt them is the way I look at it. Good luck and i hope the surgery goes well.
