in my earlier post, gushing about gus, i forgot to mention you Droolers.  OMG, have you any idea where i'd be today without all of you?  every single thing i know about gus, bassets and dogs in general, i have learned from you.  when i sit at the pc in the morning, crying for one who went to the bridge or laughing at the notes from the hounds themselves, i think of what life would be like for gus and i without the Drool.  for one, i'd be really dumb in the ways of hounds.  i mean, really, really stupid.  and second, the community to which i so proudly belong has taught me that it's ok to be nervous, scared, puzzled, dumb-founded, or clueless about something.  all i have to do is ask, and there in my email will be the answer or assurance or support that we all value and treasure.  
thank you to each and every one of you for every word you have ever posted (since last october 1, anyway).
i am ,and always will be, heartily grateful.
