Wow, just to think.....it has been exactly one year since I brought my big old squishy girl Annabelle home from her foster home.  This dog is definitely a lover, not a fighter.  She snuggles in daddy's lap or under the blankets in bed.  She fusses when she wants something.  She is an excellent counter-surfer and she always gets little Harley (our alpha hound) into trouble.  But she is the happiest, most well adjusted dog that has ever owned me.  Tail never stops wagging, even at the vets.  She is also the smartest dog that I have ever owned....hands down.  Always thinking, and calculating.  You can see her do it.  She is absolutely amazing and I wouldnt trade her for anything.  Thank you, Leslie Wallace at Looziana Basset Rescue. You helped to heal my heart after Calypso passed.  You gave me exactly what I needed at the time...a daily dose a bassitude and a creature that has given me unconditional love despite all of my faults.  Amanda (foster mom)....thank you for pulling this beautiful girl on her last day at the shelter.  Thank you for fostering her and bringing her back to full health.  Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be blessed with her love and antics on a daily basis.  Annabelle.... thank you for being you.  For making me feel better every day when I go home.  Thank you for the kisses, the doggie sighs, the playing, the counter surfing...thank you for being my redemption.
