[Dailydrool] 3:07 AM feeding time

Speedy has always enjoyed his sleep. Sometimes I have to force him out of the house because he decides to sleep almost 12 hours. Last night was not one of those nights and of course this is my fault as I should have known better.
 
In my attempt to save money and eat healthy, I decided to make chili in the slow cooker for the next day's lunch. I have the bright idea of cooking the chili over night. The boys sleep in the kitchen. They settle down for the night and at 3:07 AM I wake up  to a clatter of dishes hitting the floor. The DH and I get up immediately thinking we are being robbed. Fat chance -the smell of the chili woke up the boys and they were determined to reach the slow cooker for a tasty meal. I spent half an hour trying to get them to settle down. NOPE says Speedy, FEED US. Fine - I try to feed them their food but they didn't want that bland thing - oh no- only something tasty. I am was forced to bend and give them some chili (very little) and ended up putting them in my room lest they decided they wanted the whole pot and keep me up all night. I hope they don't get the big idea that feeding time is 3AM.
