Basil is a black dog, so he doesn't spend much time in the sun. But a quick
google search turned up several options - sunscreens and clothing with built-in
sunblock.

We've got a new challenge with Snoopy. He likes to go outside and sunbathe and
it seems he does not concern himself with the dangers of UV radiation. He goes
outside and layes on his back in the grass in the sun and grins. We are not
always at home to monitor his exposure. He has pink skin on his tummy to start
with and while he has a furry belly the fur isn't nearly as thick on his tummy
as it is on his back... and if he sunbathes too long he gets these red bumps
like my DH does (he also doesn't tolerate sun well) which itch. I've tried aloe
which helps them heal and also hydrocortezon cream (which helps the itch). I've
also tried speaking with Snoopy about limiting his exposure, but to no avail.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Dale

want me I'll be in the shade)
