Hi all--this is my first post although I've been lurking for the past six
months. I enjoy the info , the comradie, the stories about the Bridge that
give solace to all of us who have Bassets at the Bridge. My husband and I
have had Bassets for 42 years of our 43 year marriage. Our current Bassets
were rescued from Carolina Basset Hound Rescue--they are about 5, female
is Miss Ellie [2010], male is Buster[2009]. I am the grantwriter for CBHR
and together we transport, assist in the store, and attend events in the
Raleigh-Durham NC area.Having witnessed a husky attack on Sunshine, our first
Basset, I know first hand what damage they can do. It tore Sunshine's ear
almost off and she was on a line at the time in our backyard. My thoughts
on huskys are biased. I would ask them if they have enough liability
insurance as a group or individually to cover damages done by their dogs. I
would also remind them that often we choose a dog because it looks like us
and perhaps we mirror their behavior. I use dry humor to get my point across.
I'm sure you can state this more appropriately.

Burford [ATB}, George-half hound[ATB} and Daisy- mini-dachshund {ATB}
Buster and Miss Ellie--the center of our lives
