I also, lock my dogs up. Well, not really. If the work is upstairs, they are banned to downstairs. Dog door to the yard and I block off the up dog door. If the work is down, they are kept upstairs. And if it is both, they go from one to the other without any contact whatsoever with the repair people.

I also make a few remarks about how mean and nasty they are--and have a piece of furniture in front of my dog doors, so it is not so obvious that the one I got for my Addison's foster is big enough for a horse or at least 5 burglars to crawl through.

My niece lived with a guy who did 5 years in prison for among other things, burglary and having a meth lab. He got a job installing carpet at a home improvement store. The copy machine repair man at my office (where I left my purse on my desk and went in the back without a thought) also confessed to being in prison for awhile. Not sure what for.

I want every repair person who isn't a well known acquaintance to think they will be eaten alive if they come back to rob me later.
