Pierre was so excited, it was time to go to school, he was bouncing and dancing and almost out the door, then boom, he was on his side, down flat. He was down for a moment or two, but popped back up. I walked him out a bit to see how he was, and he was a little lame on his right rear leg. I loaded him in the car, not planning to do the class, but at least he would be quiet, and there are many at Dog school who would have a good opinion about his condition rather than rushing to the Vet on one of the biggest Holiday weekends. Pierre favored the leg, but as he moved, he bore more weight on it. He went to visit Mom at the Nursing home, and again, a little weak, but not horrible. By the time he got home, he was pretty good, not perfect. I gave him a rimadyl, and now, after a nap, he was very weak on the leg again. I may take him to the Vet tomorrow, but due to his history before I got him, I am extremely worried that this could be more than a leg problem, and possibly a back problem. Can a back problem cause just one leg to go out?
Still, we wish everyone the best Howliday celebrations.
