[Dailydrool] Basset Hound history at the Westminster KC shows

Basset Hounds were entered in the Westminster KC show for the first time in 1884.

A Basset Hound has not won Best In Show at Westminster. 

(Many Basset Hounds have won BIS at shows and specialties around the country.)
   
3 Basset Hounds have won the Hound Group at Westminster. 
They are:
   CH Moonbeam's Astronomer, owner Maria Elia Martinez in 2000
   CH Lil' Creeks Briarcrest Top Gun, owners Dan & Julie Jones in 1992 and
   CH The Ring's Banshee, owner Chris Teeter in 1960

   5 Basset hounds have taken a Group 2nd, 2 have taken a Group 3rd and 3 have taken a Group 4 placement at the Westminster KC Shows.
