My Pierre is my Heart Dog. I was (am) devastated by Bubba's loss, but I
still know Pierre is "thee one." He came home to me at 10 weeks. I had to
talk the breeder into letting him go early because I couldn't get the time
off later. I had to drive from Michigan to Minnesota to pick him up. The
poor baby screamed literally the whole way. He finally petered out about 2
hours from home (10 hours!). There was no way in hell I was going to put him
on a plane. I think I was in love with the pooper before he was ever born. I
spent nearly two hours on the phone with his breeders when he was being
whelped. Pierre came out last. They called him "Crash" because he sort of
just "crashed" into the world. Pierre was potty trained when he came home to
me. The only accidents he's had really can't be called accidents because
they were on purpose. When he's irritated, he marks. My only complaint. He's
never chewed anything up in nearly 13 years. He did nibble on a tiny corner
of my hiking boots, but they were old anyway. He's got the famous Fritos
smell that I love. LaBelle has no odor whatsoever. Bubba had a very mild
odor. Pierre's is very strong. After 3 days, you can't tell he's had a bath.
I don't care because I love the way he smells. There's nothing I wouldn't do
for any of my babies, but Pierre could get me to find a way to walk on water
if he indicated that's what he wanted. To me, he's the most perfect little
boy in the world. Yup; he's my soul mate!
