[Dailydrool] Mixed Packs

It is so sad to read about all of the babies going to the bridge lately.
It brings back a lot of memories for us. We observed the one year
anniversaries of our Basil and Lucy's trips to the bridge on December 5
th and January 6 th this year. Hank and Desi have been with us for a
year now and are doing great. Hank is still shy and unsure when it
comes to new situations but made a breakthrough this last weekend when
we took them hiking. There is a stream at this park and usually he will
not cross it even though Desi and Brian run right through. He usually
stands with me on the bank and whines pathetically. This time he went
marching right across like a pro - we couldn't believe our eyes! He
looked so proud of himself.

I know some of you have "mixed" households. We are thinking of rescuing
a female Doxie in the near future and are a little unsure of how these
two breeds will interact. The size difference alone is a little scary.
I'm just wondering if this is a good idea and would love to get your
opinions before we get too serious.

Drool to all in need,

Melissa
Slave to Hank, Desi, Basil (ATB) and Lucy (ATB)
