[Dailydrool] Sick Puppies!!

Michigan Basset Rescue took in 18 bassets in the very first week of 2011!! 8
of them are baby puppies...approx 7 -8 weeks old. We got them directly from
the owner. They were never in a shelter. We also got their mom and dad.
After stopping at a local vet last Friday for first shots and worming we got
all 8 and the parents into separate foster homes a week ago today. We didn't
see any need to quarantine anyone since they were owner relinquished. Sunday
night puppies started getting sick. One by one I got calls from worried
foster parents with sick coughing puppies. All went to see various
veterinarians. All received various antibiotics and something to help with
the coughing. One was diagnosed with pneumonia in one lung. They have been
on medications for 5 days now and they are no better at all. They sound
croupy and the cough is so bad they can barely catch their breath sometimes.
No fever, no nasal discharge. All are still eating and wanting to play...
playing makes the coughing worse. All keep foster parents up all night with
non stop coughing...poor parents, poor babies! 

We are asking, PLEASE for some healing Drool to be sent our way! The daddy
of the babies came down with it this week, too. Lots of $$ being spent at
Veterinarians with no results. It's frustrating and VERY troubling.
