[Dailydrool] Birthday Celebration

Colt Woofing in...I just wanted to tell eveyone that we had a very nice birthday celebration yesterday. Next week is our actually birthday but we always celebrate on the 4th of July weekend because momma says that we kill 2 birds with one stone...I never seen any dead birds at our parties though.  Anyhowl we had good day.  1st we had a nice breakfast with extra pumpkin and momma cleaned up ASTT HQ to get it ready for our birthday party.  Then we went to get baths so we look handsome and smell good for the humans...I thought we smelled better before the bath but momma says that to the humans we stink.  That women needs to get her snooter checked out by the people vet.  Dad bathed us...Ruger and I prefer dad to bath us so we get some extra dad time and dad gives us better scrubbing massages.  After our bathes we went to 3 Dogs & A Chick doggie bakery, where momma & daddy bought us a peanutbutter & granola cake, with carob icing,  bully sticks, somemore bed time cookies and some B-B-Q squirrels for the neighbor dogs. Then we came home and dad gave us a bullystick and after that we took a little nap to prepare for our guest. Just before all of our Aunties and Uncle John arrived momma made us put on our PBF/ASTT uniforms.  We looked mighty handsome and all of the Aunties loved all over us as we greeted each one at the door as they arrived.  Dad made authentic mojitos and grilled some fish..the humans were all getting snokkered on mojitos and wine.  Auntie Val got in trouble for sneaking me food under the table and momma sent us to our rooms.  WTH??? Way didn't momma send Auntie Val to her room she was the one that was sneaking us food?  We just were being proper little hosts and taking it from her to dispose of....dispose of it in our tummies!!! hehehe. But the good thing about being sent to our room was that we were still part of the party just seperated by a fence/gate that divides the dinning room (which is our room) and kitchen (where all the humans were) Momma said that we had to go to our rooms for our own protection.. hhhhhmmmmppphhh! We came back out to mingle once all the humans had eaten and mom & dad had put up the majority of the human food. That's when we got our cake!  mmmmmm cake!  Shortly after that we said goodbye to all the Aunties & Uncle John, mom and Dad cleaned up the kitchen while we took a before bedtime nap.  Next thing we knew mom & dad were waking us for pre-bed time yogurt which momma added some fresh blueberries that Auntie Ruth had given us from her very own blueberry patch. Then it was out to pee, there was some fireworks going off and momma told us that was the rest of the city celebrating our birthdays WOW Bow - Wow!  Then back into the house to get bedtime cookies and curl up on our bed for a beddie bye time.  And let me tell you Ruger & I sleep like logs!  

Ruger and I hope that everyone else had a good Bad A** Basset Brothers Birthday too.
