It is so hard to believe that 6 years ago today Amanda Lynn entered our 
lives.

As many of you may recall, she was found by my husband Fred on his way to 
work - about a block from the house.  Some soul-less moron had obviously 
dumped her off to fend for herself!  She was skin and bones - in heat - 
covered in ticks - with every parasite known to mankind (except heartworm - 
thank God)!   The fact that we had just endured the heartbreak of having to 
help Bob Burns (my heart-dog) to the Bridge less than 3 weeks before - 
simply adds to the miracle!  At that time - we were basset-less for the 
first time in well over 12 years!

Amanda Lynn has the disposition of an angel - no matter what the 
circumstances.  Simply put - she doesn't have a mean or cranky bone in her 
body.

With our help - she has evolved into quite the Pampered Pooch!  She has 
already had her favorite - scrambled eggs and ham - for breakfast and Fred 
and I plan to devote the day to spoiling her even more than usual...
