[Dailydrool] Flies

We use a fly trap that we get at Tractor Supply stores. It is a plastic jar that you put liquid bait in. The flys are attracted to the bait, crawl in the trap and can't get out. The only down side is it REALLY stinks. You want it a little ways from the house(few hundred yards) and hanging beyond basset reach but it works! D

Does anyone have suggestions for getting rid of flies?  We have a pretty small fenced area and on spite of scooping poop twice a day there are a ton of flies out there. Hoping a drooler has some ideas that may help. The hounds are bothered while out, then the flies come in with them and annoy me!
