How very true that the solution is to take in a senior hound. True, they won't 
be around much longer. True,
they don't ask for much. True, you can give them a few final years of love and 
care that they may not have
had before. True, losing them is hard, but knowing their final time was 
wonderful makes up for that. Utah
Friends of Basset Hounds has 30 Forever Fosters right now. Some in permanent 
foster homes, some needing them. 

We are willing to pay vet bills, provide food, transport to vets, daycare if 
needed, nail trims--whatever we need to
do to get them into a home. Help your local rescue. Seniors rock-- make their 
final days as wonderful as you can
by giving them a family. There are other Elder Clara's out there-- attitude, gas 
bombs, and an absolutely rewarding, fulfilling experience.  You won't be sorry.
