[Dailydrool] Vets & meds

Here's prime example.. even going to 1800pet meds, you'd pay 6 dollars more
... and get 12 pills.

At the very least, that would help you cover 4 hounds for the price of 2.
Lets look at where that money *could* go if you were getting your vet to
come down on their offered price ...

My vet's standard office visit? 35 bucks ... I could take my hounds in 2
times a year or as needed with the savings from this type of price gouge.
And Lets be honest.. maybe the vetman does pay more for their stash of this
med ... then *THEY* should be using such pricing tactics with their
suppliers.. "my clients are buying at 800petmeds at half the price you
charge me for the same med ... you (my supplier) need to come down on your
price or I'm not going to get this med from you any more"

Its up to us as the clients to tell the doctor.. I can't do this .. I can't
afford your price for this service ... it will come to the point that either
you help me, by being competitive on this med ... or I find someone else for
this purpose.

Even if I paid a 35 dollar office visit, and got the script to buy anywhere
else .. that's still 125 for 12 tabs.. compared with the 170 that your vet
gets ... for just ONE hound for one year. If I was still making my 60+k per
year, that could work.. but I'm not, and therefore have to take that cost
savings.

If your vet is not competitive .... tell them they need to be, and they need
to be very open about this. The lies of quality, and efficacy of drugs
online or mail order should no longer be tolerated. I'm all for helping my
Vet maintain their practice but can't afford to sustain them at double the
cost. Even my own vet, they would match 1800petmed's price, but they'd
charge a 9 dollar handling fee as if there were still shipping charges from
these online stores.. at least they are getting close, rather than nearly
double an online outlet.

Subject: [Dailydrool] Vets & meds

I always pay for all my perscripton meds from the vet, no break here, the
only thing I get free are the syringes for Maggies allergy injections. I
just spent $ 83.00 for 6 heartworm pills for two Bassets so multiply that
by 4 times a year I keep them on heartworm all year round
