[Dailydrool] Oh Sooo Many Things----

Momma here, home from the Great Waddle, and what a time we had!! Now I have to tell you, Pam Watkins, my riding buddy and I started our Waddle Time off with a suprise. It seems I had gotten a e-mail from Marlene--yup, our Marlene here on drool, and she was on my path to the waddle festivities--well, we decided  to "drop in" on Marlene and that we did-we just stopped to say hey, give her a hug and meet the girls. I do think she might of been suprised, we did look a bit road weary, we had at that time been on the road for 16 hrs--but we were glad to see her and bring her a smile. Hopefully she wasnt too upset over our suprise visit!!!!
We moved on to Auntie Sandi's with those wonderful Red Bay Hounds, and then on to the waddle hotel. We met so many wonderful folks, laughed, rubbed bellies on the hounds and yes those Basset Houndz did get up and wail and hop. Notice I did not say sing and dance--but we did raise money for the hounds, brought some giggles and that was what it was all about. I have seen Diane Rebhan has her video of us on Facebook and perhaps we can get her to get it on drool just so you can also laugh at us.

Next, I got the suprise of my life. I know many of you were in on this, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I was presented with a sculpture of Elder Clara--and a wonderful speech about her--I was a mess of tears, I hardly remember the words spoken, I was just shocked. This is just so very Clara--on her perch, in front of her a bag of fundraising money, a bag of mail, her cookbook, a letter from Bessie--a senior dumped in the cold-  Clara with a feather pen writing her column for the Senior Houndsabound, and of course--under her tail was a green gas bomb. All things of Clara's life here--- I called home to tell hubby, and when I brought it into the house yesterday and showed him, he cried, so with tears running down both our faces, I showed him the envelope of money to go to a rescue of our choice. That money will go to Belly Rubs Basset Rescue. Leanne and the Gang saved Clara from sure death, who would of known what her life here at the Beach held??? So we will send off a check to help more hounds. BellyRubs gets some hard luck hounds and we are so lucky to have all of the members helping out there. Once again, thank you-there are just a loss of words at how this made us feel. 

We say thanks so much to Melissa and all the MBR folks-you all put on a whale of a show for us basset lovin people, Congrats to our new King and Queen!!!
The Beach Gang was glad to see me, Brudder Elwood says Elder Clara is MIA again--I think she must be on a special mission for the royals--
