Many good days drool to Moe.  And when it is his time to make the journey to the bridge may he go with no pain in a peaceful slumber.

I'm not sure what color that you would officially call Ruger because he is not exactly red and white. He is a little lighter than traditional red Basset...I call him Strawberry!  Anyhowl he will be 4 yrs old in July and about 2 weeks ago I noticed that he has a little gray around his eyes also.   Some reds start to fade or go prematurely gray.   Colt who is Rugers littermate and a traditional tri color does not have the graying around his eyes.
