[Dailydrool] Drool for Oz

Hi everyone, this is Kat, mom to Oswald.  Poor old Oz has had a bit of a rough go of things lately.  He had an infected benign tumor removed from his back about a month ago and was on antibiotics for a week afterwards.  Less than a week after those antibiotics were gone he developed a lump under his eye which turned out to be a tooth abscess, so the vet put him on a different antibiotic.  This is all before his stitches have even been removed on his back.  After that weeks' supply ran out, the abscess still wasn't better, so the vet put him on a third type of antibiotic informing us that it may have just gotten too bad to treat with antibiotics, but we would try this third one, however if it didn't get better he would have to lance it, but since it's so close to his eye, he'd have to go under anesthesia again.  Well he's almost through this most recent round of antibiotics and he's still not feeling better.  Since this all started his stitches have been removed and his back has healed nicely, but poor Oz is likely going to have to get his face lanced.  We're going to consult the vet Monday morning.  He's clearly not feeling well and has two new four-legged wannabe sisters who keep trying to play with him but in the process are bumping into his face and hurting him, so I can only imagine that's just making things worse.  I was just wondering if you wonderful basset folks could spare some drool for Oswald.  Thanks so much and we're slinging drool for anyone else in need!
