( I am submitting this for Pierre Junior & Jackie as cyber space keeps eating his message to the digest).
This is the firstest time I am writing to youz, cos I think Mom has just gone nuts, too much whine or somethin.
Today she had a "whim" (see I told you too much whine), and she decided to pack me in the car and drive a nickelzillion miles to see some really, really big dogs. Then, she was gonna dress me as "Captain America" and make me march in a parade, but that part of the day got hoeyied (messed up), but let me tell you, those big, big dogs really messed me up. (And I didn't even get a hamburger or a hot dog or any peeples food the whole afternoon.)
So it is early afternoon, and we are dwiving and dwiving, and that part I don't mind. The car is nice, the day is nice, and I likes going places. But we kept going and going and going. When we finally stopped it sure did smell funny, like nuttin I ever smelled before. Man, I was on a mission to track all those smells down, and then YIKES, this really really big dog came so close, I did a little piddle. Lots and lots of people petted me and said I was beautiful. I metz some nice normal doggies, too. And I was so well behaved, I even let a little girl pet me, and I didn't steal her popsicle that she was carelessly waving in front of my snooter.
I was only there for an hour, and I was done. I wantz shade, I wantz water and I wantz out. Me no like these really, really big dogs. They sure do smell funny.
OK, OK Pierre, go back to sleep, it was not that bad. Silly kid, I took Pierre to the Hampton Classic horse show this afternoon. I didn't plan this, just woke up this morning and said why not, it was only 2 hours away (when you factor in traffic, etc.). On the way home, I was going to take him to a WestHampton adoption event that featured a costume contest, but the google map I printed was so wrong, and I was lost for about an hour.
Pierre was so well behaved at the horse show though, and I was very proud of him. It was not that hot, and I was surprised that he quit on me so soon, but I am thinking that it was a stimulation overload of sorts that got to him. He was amazing to watch as he was soaking in the whole concept of the horse. It is a beautiful show, and this is the first year I went, and I am glad Pierre came with me, even though we were shut out of the high end boutique shopping areas as they were no dog zones. A couple of the saddle shops were giving out free hats, and I gave those to sis. She likes hats and horses.
Lots and lots of folks stopped and asked to pet Pierre, and he willingly obliged. He was getting scritches by a very caring and gentle woman, and a horse passed a little to close, and Pierre had a submissive pee. This is the first time ever he did this. I could tell he was done when he kept dodging for shade. Like I said, it wasn't that hot, but he was beginning to stress, so I got him back to the a/c in the car, a bowl of water and his big thanks to me for the day was a giant pee in the back seat of the car (even though I thought he fully emptied before we left the grounds.)
