[Dailydrool] need advice...

My Daisy Mae has cysts all over...she is just a real lumpy dog.  She has
even had them in her ear flaps.  Now it seems that she has one on the very
tip or her tail that has broke open and bled and is bothering her very
much.  She wants to lick it all the time.  It is very red and inflamed so we
took her to the vet.  He basically said that we have two options.  We can
put a cone of shame on her and try some kind of ointment but it would take a
very long time to heal because of where it is.  He didn't have much hope of
it getting better and there is also the probability that it will just come
back if it does heal.  The second option is just to take about an inch of
her tail off.  That would require a cone too but just not for as long and
when it is healed it should be healed for good.  Whatever  we decide to do I
will probably use the rolled towel instead of the cone.   What do you think
