[Dailydrool] Flea Remedy Question

My husband and I have been making our furbabies' food since the oldest, eight year old Otie, came home with us at age 8 weeks.  In the mix we put one to two heads of garlic, depending on the season (more in the summer), and have never found a flea on any of them.  We live in a rural area surrounded by forested hills.  We did find a tick on one of them this summer.  Our vets pooh pooh raw diets, and natural remedies, but we do this for their health, and so far they are very healthy.  Prior to this diet we used regular dog food, and our pets had fleas, flea allergies, and many other ailments between them, two had autoimmune diseases, and one died prematurely (age 6) from AI disease.  Since we never switched to a raw diet for the sick dogs, I cannot say that it would have helped them, of course.  (Their diet is based on veterinarian Ian Billingurst's The BARF Diet. "BARF" = bones and raw food, or biologically appropriate raw food.  Good luck!
