[Dailydrool] fruit, smiles & other assorted stuff

[LOIS LEMA]

the jersey basset herd loves fruit.  well honestly they love everything found on the produce aisle.  you name it they love it.  buster is known for his serious adoration of all things to-matery, but lowla is coming in a close 2nd.  he will engage you in a tug of war to grab one from you.  during the summer gardening season he frequently walks around with green mater juice covering & coloring he noggin.

missy lowla has developed a taste for dill & sour pickles.  also pineapple.  thankfully not at the same time.  


sally on the other hand will take a mater & lick it & ever so gently peel the skin off while "growling" at the others (who are nearby laughing so hard they are peeing themselves).  she does not eat the mater & usually they end up just walking over & just snatching it away from her.

as for smiles..well anyone who has ever met buster knows that he has the best "elvis" grin known to dogkind.  he can let that grin go when he wants something, or if he is trying to cover up a not such a good thing..but he cocks his head & lets elvis out.  sometimes it works...sometimes not.

now..the all important update...still no word on the fate of the building.  it may get bulldozed, it may not.  it may be cheaper to just plow it over & rebuild it after all the damages are totaled.  no one seems to know how long the decision making process will take or who to ask.  but for now work goes on in the flooded out units.  still no mail delivery.  got my phone back (again for the 4th time).  nothing exploded, caught fire or blew away this week.  worker guys left gates open & dogs went for a extended walk around the hood..lowla came back right away (as she told the psychic.."she is the good one") other 2 took some wrangling.  am pretty sure than guy will NEVER leave a gate open ever again.

had huge fun at the mid Atlantic howliday party.  laughed.  ate good.  didn't sit on santa's lap...i weighed more than he did...got a bread maker..made bread.  life is getting better.
