Our daughter's very sweet pit mix just went through a bout of throwing up and bloody stools. It's a long story, but the bottom line is she ate something plastic and stringy that got stuck in her stomach and intestines. It didn't show up by feel or by x-ray, but they finally saw something with an ultrasound. She had surgery on Friday, and is home and doing ok at the moment. She had been ailing for a long time -- they don't know what it was or when she ate it.
