[Dailydrool] Important information and 700 cats dog

Dear Snoopy:
As head dog at the Dashing Basset Bakery, I want to give you a heads up. Not only is chocolate cake good, so is carob cake. Your mom can make you your very own cake that won't risk your health at all, 'cause carob is OK for hounds.
 
The mom says that your mom needs to make up a cake kinda like a human one. If she uses a recipe that takes cocoa powder, she should put in a bit more carob powder, which she can get at a health-food store (our mom gets it at Whole Foods sometimes) or online at www.barryfarm.com. If she needs chocolate chips in the recipe, she can replace them with unsweetened carob chips (same sources). Mom has her own recipe for basset cakes, which she now thinks she will revise to make a carob cake. Our cakes have no sugar, since mom says dogs don't really need sugar, because brushing our teeth is so hard, and it isn't great for us anyway in the poundage department. I don't think she puts a lot of shortening or oil or whatever either, 'cause mom is big on keeping us slim. OK, our cakes aren't just like human cakes, they are denser, but they sure are good, all the same. We get them at birthdays, mostly. But mom is telling us she might do some pupcakes for the
 BoardWaddle this year, since the Dashing Basset Bakery will be raising money for Tri-State there.

And to those folks who noticed the dog owned by the lady with 700 cats, his name is Hoss. Bet he was a rescue too.
