buster brown is a star at talking! he will do so on command. the boy loves to hear his own voice. we have a routine worked out for meet & greets.  i bet folks $1 i get get my dog to sing for them & if he doesn't i will give them back their buck + $1.  in 5 years i have never had to return any $$.  he will answer questions (are you happy, hungry, want a cookie, want to go home) but the all time crowd pleasers are : " is timmy in the well?" followed by "is timmy a moron?"

her has a following.  people recall him from various events & different years, which is pretty funny actually.  he has sung for events as a pirate, a baseball player, a k9 cop, a chef & assorted other personas.  the best was last year at the flemington, nj bark in the park ...they had a "best singing pet" contest.  well buster sang all day at our booth (for mid atlantic basset hound rescue) when it came to be his turn they stuck a microphone in his face & the boy choked.  mumbled something & that was it.  damn fool!!  he won anyway because they heard him bellowing all day long before the contest.

he told a psychic he loves to hear his voice "in all it's forms"..ya think? & believes in announcing himeslef when he enters a new area or room.  it's funny he hcan be a little shy around people at the park at times but put that boy in front of a fund raising table or in a costume & he is a social butterfly..he is "on", sort of like a therapy dog..a dog with a job.

now his best friend at the dog park, maggie moo will bay with him...but only if i ask her & get him started.  it's pretty funny to watch & listen too.  sally comes running over & moo's brother willie & all the other assorted houndage at the park (as well as the assorted park members dill the ridgeback, ivy the st bernard mix, leo the dande dinmont mix, farley the flying monkey dog, finn the irish wolfhound etc...)
