[Dailydrool] Worry

Do I worry about the Bad A** Basset Brothers...YEAH...ALOT. More so with Colt and Ruger than I did with the Fab 5 or the other previous dogs.  I think part of it is that as I have gotten older I have reliezed that I am not immortal and the hounds aren't either. In part, I think because I have had to help so many of the hounds that I have loved before (sound like a Juilo Inglesies & Willy Nelson song) to the bridge. Also the one bad part about the drool is that it is a constant reminder the hounds don't live forever.  But I worry. I worry about one of them bloating, more so with Colt on this one because he has showed signs before but was given gas-x and was either prevented or helped pass or break down the gas more efficiently. With Ruger I worry about bloat to, but with him I stress more over his seizures.  His seizures seem to be brought on by a stressful situation or something that scares him.  Like the smoke detector going off. Ruger is a sensitive hound and some things tend to stress him a little bit more then Mr. Laid Back hound Colt.  I am crazy with worry if I go on vacation or a military training trip.  I know that the Aunties take good care of them but scared that something will happen (bloat or seizure) when they are not with them since they are not with them 24/7.  I even hate leaving them to go to work or the grocery store...scared that something bad will happen while I am gone. I also stress about them getting out of the back yard or out the front door.  Now you know why I drink wine...one glass a night to combat my hound stress. second glass to heal the nerve damage caused by the hound stress  and the 3rd to help with lifes other stressors. 

Honestly...most nights it is only one glass of wine.  But there have been occasions where a bottle and on rare occasions 2 bottles (usually with help from an Auntie or the DH) have crossed the bridge from my wine chiller to the recycle bin. 

Heart healing drool to all of those that have lost a beloved hound or human.  Healing drool to all the sick or injured hounds and humans.
And of Course wine healing drool to heal all of those damaged nervouse systems out there.

Colt "momma I'm worried about Ruger...can I have some wine?"
Ruger "mom...mom...MOM, I'm worried about Colt can I have some wine?"

No hounds will be given any wine!  Probably won't keep them from trying to steal a nip or two though.

Women are Angels...And when someone breaks their wings..They simply continue to fly....on a broomstick...They are flexible like that...
