Just a suggestion if your dog doesn't like k/d, z/d, etc. food, why
not ask the vet about another manufacturer.  If your dog won't eat k/d
food, maybe try the Purina prescription food.

My vet stopped selling Hills Prescription Diet foods.  He switched to
Purina Vet Management and Royal Canin.  Dogs seem to eat those brands
more willingly than .
