[Dailydrool] Quincey's Report from the dog show

Today was MY turn to go into the square ring again.  I was all happy to walk
up there with Lena.  I think she is smelling really yummy again, so when we
were walking up to the ring, I kept trying to play the Humpy game with her.
Lena didn't mind .. She just sort of sat down.  Mom was not amused because
the 5 minute walk took almost 15 minutes.  She kept having to stop, pull me
off Lena, untangle our show leads, then start walking again.  Then Lena
wanted to sniff and pee.  And I started the humpy game again.  We repeated
this about 34 nickzillion times until Mom got that mean look in her eyes and
said "ENOUGH!".  It was so loud I thought it was thunder!  Then Lena and I
both decided to choose that moment to poop.  So then Mom had to stop, hold
on to both of us, dig two poop bags out of her pocket, pick up the poop,
deposit in the poop can . and of course, I took a slight advantage of her
being busy doing that by doing the hump game again, so then she had to drag
me off Lena, untangle our leads and get us both headed in the same
direction.   She made us practically RUN the rest of the way to the ring so
I couldn't start the game again.

Then we had to wait a LONGGGGGGGGGG time for the Judge to come .. When he
finally came, I started barking "HERE COMES DA JUDGE! HERE COMES DA JUDGE!"
Mom clamped my little (BIG) mouth shut so fast that I almost bit my tongue.
Then it was my turn to go into the ring and I was mad at Mom for all my
previous mistreatment, so I let her know.   I put my nose down in the grass
. I put my tail down in the grass . I wouldn't look at Mom .. I wouldn't
even take any liver treats from her.   When I went up on the ramp, I
pretended she was choking me and that my toesies were hurt.  The judge man
was nice . he used to breed and show bassets too.  He told me that sometimes
Mom's had to be mean but he wouldn't be mean like Mom.   I gave him a big
old sloppy kiss and he laughed at me.   Then I forgot I was mad at Mom and
gave her a kiss and one of my signature hugs before I got off the ramp.   I
got Reserve . it means I got second place.  Mom was pleased with that .
considering how I misbehaved before.   Lena didn't get any ribbons today
...BWAHAHAHAHA!  

 

I think I have to get off the 'puter now coz it is starting to thunder and
lightning.  I don't want to get zotted and have my beautiful ears bet all
frizzled.
