Please help us help the dogs we get into rescue from stupid people. 

Two young Basset girls recently came into our rescue, a poor emaciated little girl from a horrible abuser, and one who had spent most of her life in a kennel because her owner was too busy to mess with her. One owned by someone who had the Basset girl only to produce puppies and make money. The other left alone without human companionship to spend her life alone in jail. It seemed urgent that we take these two they were both headed to the pound.
Every day our rescue gets calls to take Bassets in and these two were emergencies.  They were more desperate than most.
So Bella and Alley came to Western Missouri Basset Rescue, the poor little girls both only three years old One covered in fleas and dirt so bad she looked like she was black and grey. The other hardly had any wear on her paws because she was seldom out in the grass. 
Bella the one with fleas was actually physically abused the other emotionally abused. Bella was kept as an outside Baby girl but is completely housetrained. She is just like any other Basset wants to be inside with people and be spoiled but this poor little three year  old has never had a chance to be happy in her short life. 
After a bath and flea treatment I discovered she is actually a red and white Basset. 
She is so afraid of the other dogs and she jumps when you try to pet her who knows what torture this poor girl has been through, if only she could talk.
