[Dailydrool] fights

One of the worst fights in this house recently was Easter Eve, and Pierre
Jr. mauled Nigel's ear over a poop. (That was a trip to the ER, the same
place where Nigel just came home from his eye surgery.) That being said,
the hound dynamic was hugely upset because of the damn beagle who I wanted
to keep, but he ended up being a foster in a good way, because he now has
the best possible home with a dog loving woman who raised beagles in the
past, and she really needed a dog in her life, as she recently lost ATB,
her rescue greyhound. Damn Beagle now lives with the Mom of one of the Vet
techs of the Vet Hospital with whom I am associated.

That being said, Nigel is home, but he has to wear the BIG cone of shame,
not the soft gentle one that I wanted him to wear. He goes after the eye
spot periodically, so I am glad he has the big cone, and while I usually
try to buck this, I won't this time. I just spent over 3k to get his eye
right, but more importantly, I want him to heal properly.

He has three eye meds and two oral meds for at least two weeks, maybe more.
He has a recheck in a week. Gratefully, my sister was able to get some
time off to help me with this. Wrangling the others while catering to
special needs Nigel, and he deserves it, would be tough other wise, at
least in the beginning.

Thank you to all who sent drool. I am sure it helped him be in the better
place he is. One day at a time, and every day will be better.

A side note about Pumpkin. For a while, I noticed some dark lines on her
bottom which I really didn't pay much attention to as I have never seen
this before with any hound or dog. Yesterday, some hair and skin started
to flake off, so I got her to the Vet today, and she has a skin infection,
not contagious, but maybe she got a nick somewhere, but it so subtle. I am
glad she got to the Vet today, and I am washing her 2x a day with hexacaine
soap, then a dab of animax, and she is on antibiotics for 2 weeks. It is a
mystery how this came to be, but I am grateful that it is being treated.

Chris Bly, we should share a glass, and I don't have any wine either. I am
going to paypal you a little right now. That puppy is just so cute, and
both Pierre Jr. and Colette have gone through similar pain. Neither needed
sedation for X-ray though, so I am glad. Jr.'s ended up being a bruise,
and Colette was a sprain. Anyway, hug that little puppy for me, and tell
him my hounds are sending their cookie money to him.

Healing drool to all in need, and my forever thanks for this list, and the
drool community.
