All of my dogs are taught: sit, wait, stay, come, down, off, leave it, drop
it, hurry, potty, heel, gait, stop, stack, steady, good, nice, walk, dog
show, play, easy, drink, left, right, quiet, knock it off, not your turn,
turn around, go around, back up, settle down, and the all purpose word HEY!

There are some that look like they had the same meaning (down/off) but down
means to lie down and off means to get off me/couch/don't jump up on someone
etc. Another set that you might think are the same are walk/heel/gait but
each means a particular way of "walking". Puppies one of the most important
commands (IMHO) ... "drop-it" ... before they leave us.
My dogs also know the names of their toys: blue bone, white bone, dinosaur,
baby, hedgie, keys, etc.) They also know some other words in context ...
when we are traveling we cannot say the words "Dairy Queen" without causing
an instant baying session.
