Ahhh yes-the power of a basset voice. Thank you Brudder Jake, but it is Sunday, and getting the pack to sing at this hour caused me to listen for a minute, yes that is Bess howling away with you all, and I rolled over and put the pillow over my head.
6:00am. Jake tried for roll
call number two-all bassets present and accounted for.
6:30am.  Here we go again. Dad finally took mercy on the gang and got up.
7:00am, the bellhound himself gave no mercy on the bowl being late. he stood at the bottom of the stairs screaming, barking, assuring me he had not eaten in weeks.
7:05am, here we go--my day is begun.
8:00am-not a one of the now worn out hounds want to go for a good walk.
If they think they are napping here today, they have another thing coming.
