Subject: Happy and sad


March is a happy and sad month this year at our house.  The sad is our beloved Thumpy (the pit/basset) left for the Bridge on the 20th with our help after a long battle with heart & renal failure.  He was a stray who chose us in the spring of 2001.  The vet guessed he was about 3then so we are extremely happy to have him for so long. He is DH heart dog and I still cry when I think of him; he was a wonderful boy and the reason for the happy event.
We love Thumpy so much we got Bea the basset and discovered the Daily Drool.   On the DD I read about Willie, Dora and Val needing a new home together as they are bonded.  On March 31,2007 we went to see them.  I don 't think I was thinking of taking all 3 but when we saw them DH said we can't break them up.  So today is their 6th gotcha day and we feel so lucky to have them.  We were always proud to share the day with Debbies' Elder Clara.
