[Dailydrool] Adm. JED "Snatch" Basset Reporting for PBF Duty!

My benighted houndservant is behind in my official correspondence. I shall
take the Leftenant to task for that, and for insisting that I make an
official appearance on this bloody hot Sunday at a Hounds Majestic adoption
event hosted by the benevolent Golden Gate Basset Rescue.

I joined Hounds Majestic from other brigades (including a lovely lady
basset of a certain age named Cokie who is seeking re-assignment. On their
behalf, I voiced my displeasure at the heat. Quite often. Quite loudly.

I also barked orders for the benefit of all, as befits an Admiral. Quite
often. Quite loudly.

Houndservant largely ignored me. Houndservant was actually heard to mutter
"you could go back on the adoption list, loudmouth..."

Houndservant is on my short list for demotion to simple galley slave.

Leftenant did remind me that we have served together 1 year today
(Leftenant calls it my "gotcha" date, whatever that means. Not HMS
terminology.)

I suppose I shall have to continue to put up with Leftenant's deficiencies.
Houndservant did share something called a "Sub" with me, plus plenty of
cold water.

I wondered, did Leftenant procure the tasty snack from a heretofore unknown
group of Submarine Bassets?

I was mighty glad the Houndservant finally returned me to regular duty at
my command couch for a well-earned nap.

Leftenant here, writing while Adm. sleeps--Thanks to other Droolers for the
good information on ONIONS (toxic quantity, not that Adm. is going to get
another chance to snatch any); and blueberries. I was actually kind of
kidding about the blueberries. I just liked the idea of blueberry-scented
basset farts.

I have been Houndservant to Adm. 1 year TODAY. Hip Hip Hooray for the
Admiral! Huzzah for the PBF! Huzzah for Drool!

Healing Naval Drool to all who suffer and are heavy-laden, hound and
houndslave alike.
