[Dailydrool] Help!

Our old Jersey girl has had a tough few weeks. One good thing is she is
recovering beautifully from her surgery. The bad thing is she is vomiting.
A LOT! We've done the whole clear liquids then rice and chicken. So, back
to the vet we went to get her staples removed and for a good exam. She
actually has been vomiting on and off since last spring but the frequency
has increased markedly over the past couple of months until it has become a
daily event and, the past few days, several times a day. Her bloodwork came
back perfect (YAY!) so she is now on an antibiotic and Flagyl along with an
incredibly expensive antiemetic and Pepto. My problem is giving her pills.
We found out many years ago she will bite if you try to jam a pill down her
throat. At this point she doesn't trust anything that I give her and chews
everything to make sure its food and spits it out if it's not. I'm trying
to only give her things that are easy to digest but I got desperate today
and put the pills in peanut butter and got them down that way but I don't
think peanut butter is really in her best interest right now. I used hot
dogs last night (also not a good idea with her upset stomach) but she
chewed them and spit the pills out until I actually held her mouth shut so
she would swallow. I'm open to any and all ideas if you have some! She is
on rice and chicken or hamburger at this point with a very small amount of
her kibble mixed in. She chews pill pockets so those are out. I was
wondering if cream cheese would be better for her than peanut butter? HELP!
